I love to draw, write, paint, and ride horses! Why I chose this profession:

I've been married to my husband, Daryl, for 16 years and I have 2 daughters, a 16 year old Mckenna and a 21 year old Jenna. We have 2 dogs, Luna and Chief; a shar pei/mix and a yellow lab. In my free time I like to watch my daughter play softball and we love to camp.

My name is Josie Wendelberger and I am 24 years old. I've loved animals since I was a young girl and I was always trying to save little critters. Outside of work I enjoy hiking, hunting, and just being outside. My favorite animals are cows, dogs, and cats!

Growing up on a dairy farm outside of Oconomowoc, I was always nursing that sick kitten back to health or helping the large animal vet with the cattle. I learned at a very early age that TLC had a huge impact on the well-being of animals. Why I chose this profession:

When I was little I loved to play all of the veterinarian games you can think of. I started at Hallett in 2019 right out of high school as an assistant and fell in love immediately with my new career. I have since found special interest in working with nervous pets and behavioral issues.

Why I chose this profession I have always known I wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. I enjoy caring for animals and I enjoy the challenges medicine provides.

I have been grooming for 5 years, I was a bather at Petsmart for 9 years and then they sent me to their grooming academy to become a groomer. I have been pampering pets for 13 years in total. I love interacting with all the dogs every day and how each one has a different personality.
